While we would never shame anyone for use of such a beneficial medication, clients may not seek a massage while under the influence of any substance that can alter their mental status. Massage is known to increase the relaxation effects of marijuana and as such, it can become dangerous for an impaired individual to operate a motor vehicle. The effect is similar to taking a larger dose of a muscle relaxer.
